Attention all White Lightning owners!

In my ongoing commitment in maintaining the greatest W/L resource, Lightninglane.com , I invite any and all of you to participate in a contest.

The contest rules are simple:
If you have a complete set of w/l's from any Johnny Lightning release or promotional or exclusive w/l's, I will let you submit all of the pics for that section of my website. I ask only that the pictures be uniform in appearance; the group looks better when presented in the same format. Here is what I am looking for:
 

1 "full card" view of each car (most important)

1 close up of each car for a thumbnail can be submitted for an extra point for each close up submitted.

 

You may take liberty with the full card pics, such as cutting and pasting to better show the w/l traits. One recent picture contributor stated that Paintbrush worked best for him, but I will let you decide how best to present your collection, if you decide to try this please include it separately from the other pictures.
**box sets will only need a single pic of the box and one thumbnail pic for each car**

Even though the website is almost entirely dedicated to white lightning's, I do have a section for "Rubber Tire" variations in case you would like to share your pics of those too.

While I encourage people to take care in the use of their property, in this case pictures, it is entirely up to you if you want to put your name/logo on the pics, but please keep it secondary to the subject matter. In other words, please don't make your name/logo too prominent or place it in a manner that obstructs the view of the car or card artwork.

Come by the website and take a look at the recently updated series for a better idea of what I am looking for in a picture. I would like to see the entire website done in this style, even if it means replacing a lot of existing pics from so many helpful people from these past many years. Not wanting to hurt anyone's feelings who have contributed in the past, just trying to make the appearance of the site a little more uniform and helpful to everybody. Also, be sure to check the website periodically through the contest to make sure that you are not duplicating your efforts with someone else who may have previously submitted pics in this new format.

Scoring:
1 point will be awarded for each picture (full card=1 point, thumbnail=1 point). A set of four individual cars would receive 4 points and a complete ten car box set of w/l's would receive 10 points. It's the only way to be fair. In the rare case of duplicate submissions, the earliest time/date will receive the points. I will do my best to keep the website updated to help prevent any such duplication of effort.

Now the fun part:
Submit your pictures from now until midnight on December 15th, 2008. The person having the most points will receive this:

 

1^st Place

One 2008 LightningLane.com Holiday Car Exclusive White Lightning and their name on the Registry of Owners on Lightning Lane, they will also receive one of each version of the regular versions of the 2008 Holiday Car and $50 credit to purchase any car or cars using the NEW Add to cart feature on Lightning Lane.

2^nd Place

One of each versions of the 2008 LightningLane.com Holiday Car,Two of the 2007 LightningLane.com Holiday Car (One 1969 Red Chevy Impala Convertible and One Red Hardtop) and $30 credit to purchase any car or cars using the NEW Add to cart feature on Lightning Lane.

3^rd Place

One 2008 LightningLane.com Holiday Car, One 2007 LightningLane.com Holiday Car 1969 Red Chevy Impala Convertible and $20 credit to purchase any car or cars using the NEW Add to cart feature on Lightning Lane.

*ALL WINNERS NAMES WILL BE POSTED ON THE LIGHTNING LANE

*ALL SERIES OR SINGLE PROMOS WILL BE ACCEPTED EXCEPT FOR SERIES ALREADY ON THE NEWLY UPDATED SECTION ON THE FRONT PAGE OF LIGHTNING LANE.

And don't worry if you only have one or two complete sets, you never know when or where lightning will strike in the form of a nice "Thank You from Lightning Lane". After all the contest will be running almost to Christmas and I just might have a random drawing or two - a little something to stuff in your stocking.
